Zoom webinar – Wednesday July 17th

I am very excited to be partnering with perinatal psychiatrist Dr. Pooja Lakshmin to provide a free 45 minute Zoom Webinar on Mental Health in Pregnancy + Keeping your New Baby Safe in a Pandemic on June 17 at 9pm ET.

You’ve almost certainly read something from Dr. Lakshmin who has written a lot for The NY Times on motherhood including my favorite piece recently “Mothers Don’t Have to Be Martyrs”.

We know this time is overwhelming for everyone and being a new parent is overwhelming enough as it is, so we are hoping to be helpful and address questions including:

What is the latest research on how COVID may impact newborns?

What social distancing precautions should I put in place during the postpartum period?

How should I think about making decisions about child-care and help at home, as restrictions loosen in some states? What’s safe for my older children?

How do I set boundaries and have difficult conversations with family and friends?

How do I deal with my anxiety about keeping my newborn safe?

Click here to register. Hope to see you there! Please share with any friends who may be interested!

Still feeling overwhelmed?

Everything posted is my opinion and doesn’t represent the opinion of my current or prior employer. All patient references in stories are fictionalized (new gender, different issue, etc) to protect privacy. Recommendations are made in a generic way intended for education. The ideas I have may not fit every child or every family. Parents should use their judgment and ask their own doctors if they feel something doesn’t make sense or may not be safe in their specific situation. I am not your child’s doctor, and this is not medical advice.
